Find Your Applicant Type

You have done your research and are ready to apply to the Faculty of Arts & Science at U of T! The application process varies depending on your educational background and whether you intend to study on a full-time or part-time basis. Choose from one of the categories below to guide you through the application information that’s right for you.

High School Students

Current Canadian or international high school students or recent high school graduates. 

High school applicants

Transfer Students

Students who have completed courses at another U of T campus or faculty, accredited university, Canadian college or CEGEP and wish to complete their degree at the Faculty of Arts & Science. 

Transfer applicants

Note: If you are currently enrolled in another university, you may be eligible to enrol in Arts & Science courses as a visiting student.

Post-Secondary Graduates

Students who have completed an undergraduate degree can apply to pursue a second degree from the Faculty of Arts & Science or enrol in courses as a non-degree student.

If you do not meet our admission requirements, or if you do not fall into any of the categories listed above, the Faculty of Arts & Science provides several admission pathway programs that can enable you to access our academic opportunities.

Admission pathway programs

Part-Time Degree Studies

Most programs in the Faculty of Arts & Science enable you to complete a degree on a part-time basis. Part-time students can take courses during the day and evening but are enrolled in fewer courses per academic session. The admission requirements are the same as for full-time students, but you will apply through OUAC using the part-time student application
